Project Introduction: |
Learning Reflection: |
Our Found Sound project was an exploration into the world of music using everyday objects such as pencils, chairs, etc. Groups had to compose a piece consisting of everyday objects and perform their piece in front of the class. Each group had a choice about what they wanted their form to be. Groups had a choice between binary form or AB form, ternary form or ABA form, or Rondo form also known as ABACA form.

In this project I learned about the many things that go into a piece of music such as an ostinato which is a repeating beat. I also learned how difficult it is to really create music versus playing someone else's. Our group worked pretty well together with very little disputes. I think all found sound is music because the "music" ever "discovered" used to be found sound. My favorite found sound piece that I listened to was The everyday music ensemble because it was the most relatable for me out of all the pieces. Our performance to the class went a lot smoother than I expected with very minor errors. For our piece we used ternary form or ABA form. In each section be tried to have a least one ostinato and at least one complex melody. We did this because they contrasted each other but in way connected with each other.
